All of our inflatable SUP's have a standard H3 Valve.
-
Max is 20 PSI but you will likely only ever need to inflate it to 15 PSI. At 15 pounds of air pressure it is extremely rigid and performs well. Inflating over 15 PSI doesn't improve performance.
-
The pressure gauge on the dual-action pump will generally not register a pressure reading until the board reaches 7 PSI. Keep pumping, you will get a reading when you are about half way there and then you can watch until it gets to 15 PSI. It normally takes us just under 7 minutes to fully inflate our boards with steady pumping.

For shipments within Canada we mainly use CanPar or Purolator.
A tracking # will be emailed to the customer once the order has shipped. -
We strive to ship each order by the end of that business day. If an order misses our last shipment schedule it will therefore ship out the next business day.
If an order comes through late Friday afternoon or on the weekend it will ship out the following Monday.

With the dual action hand pump that comes with the Hero SUP packages it is capable of inflating the board in approximately 5 minutes if you keep up a fast and steady pace.
However for many it will take up to 8 minutes. The inflation time will depend on the pace you keep when pumping.
Our average time is six minutes and 20 seconds to inflate the Crusader SUP with fairly steady pumping and a few quick breathing breaks.
-
Yes no problem.
We recommend checking the air pressure each time before you take it out to see if it needs to be topped up.
If you leave it inflated store it out of direct sunlight to keep the air pressure from expanding and to preserve the quality of the material.
If storing inflated for longer periods of time it is recommended to let out a little air to remove pressure on the seams.
-
All Hero SUP boards come with a 2-year warranty that covers everything outside of normal wear and tear.
Our warranty covers the board only. Damage due to misuse or negligence is not covered. The warranty starts from the date of purchase. You must show proof of purchase on a valid warranty claim.
-
Begin by removing the valve cap and pressing down on the valve tip and twist. You will hear the air gush out loudly for a few seconds.
Let the air escape before you begin rolling. Start rolling the board from the nose.
Once the board is rolled up secure it tightly with the strap.
-
We have checked inflatables in at the airport many times without issue. The rolling backpack included in our ISUP package makes it very easy to navigate through an airport with your board.
However we still recommend contacting the airlines you plan to fly to ensure a smooth check in process.
-
Yes absolutely. The EVA traction pad is very durable and will help your dog to grip the board. If you and your PUP are up to it, so is your Hero SUP! Just keep in mind that the deck pad is made of foam so it is important to teach your dog to stay in one place while paddling so as not to scratch up the pad.
-
Our boards are made with durable PVC so they can withstand a fair amount of abuse. However any sharp object including a sharp rock has the potential to damage your board.
-
Small leaks can be repaired with inflatable boat repair glue and the PVC patches in your repair kit. For a larger leak or tear you may need to take your board to a professional boat or SUP repair shop.
-
Sometimes when an inflatable board is deflated and rolled up the PVC material can get creased. Once inflated we have never experienced the crease resulting in any sort of weak spot or leak.
If you are concerned about creasing you can store the board loosely rolled up especially when stored for long periods of time.
-
Sometimes the valve can get loosened and will need to be tightened.
If you notice some air leaking from around the valve take the valve wrench from the repair kit and give the valve a good twist clockwise to tighten it. This should solve any air leakage issues.
To remove a valve you can twist it counter-clockwise and screw the valve right out of the board. If you need to replace the valve place it in the valve slot and twist clockwise until tight.
-
We have a two year manufacturing warranty on all our inflatable boards that will cover any seam or valve issues as long as the board has not been tampered with.
If there is no known leak check that the valve is secured tightly. Take the valve wrench from your repair kit and give the valve a good twist clockwise to tighten it. This will solve any air leakage from the valve area.
If the valve is not the issue then follow these steps to find the leak:
Apply soapy water along the seams and over the board and look for any bubbles. Bubbles will indicate that a seam will need to be repaired.
Take pictures and a brief video of the leak and send them to our Claims Department at support@herosup.ca. We will do everything we can to get you back on the water as quickly as possible.
